Current Action - FLDS situation

I am probably just going to target one situation at a time (unless there are two really promanant ones that need imeadiate attention)
Currently we are targetting the unjust FLDS situation.
This blog is to inform those that already oppose CPS custody of the FLDS children, of actions they can take. It is not to debate or discuss the situation.
You can ask questions in the "comments" part at the end of each post on this blog. http://fldsview.blogspot.com/

Quote from CPS spokesman Patrick Crimmins.
"authorities removed pictures and teachings of Warren Jeffs from some scriptures, then gave the books back. He says, "We obviously don't have any quarrel with the Book of Mormon, or the Bible, or the Koran." He says the problem is when children are reading the words of a convicted sex offender like Warren Jeffs." http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=481&sid=3348643
Texas Supreme Court papers http://www.supreme.courts.state.tx.us/ebriefs/files/20080391.htm Please feal free to use all or parts of posts when writing letters to oppose the govt.'s actions.
By posting a reply, it is assumed that you are giving your permission for others to use it as letters to oppose the govt.'s actions. Also, I will assume you are giving your permission to make it a post in this blog.
Thankyou.

Defining "indoctrination"

(see where to write, in the right column, for addresses)
I commiserate with you at the difficulty laid before those seemingly forced to define what is a belief and what is brainwashing. When one follows something because of the threat of, or use of physical force, removing the threat and helping one to feel safe and secure enough to make ones own decisions will foster freedom and enable happiness. When one follows something because it is ingrained in them, or they believe it, removing the source or this belief, or any other physical action to relieve them of this, is ultimately useless. Once a person believes something, only they can choose to change that belief. Whether the belief can or should be labelled under "brainwashing" does not change this. Thus, the ardious task of having to make such a difficult decision about whether a belief can or is brainwashing, is not essential to forwarding freedom and happiness. To enable a person to change their beliefs, regardless of whether those beliefs can or should fall under "brainwashing", one must first earn that persons respect and love. Only then can they offer different beliefs, which that person can choose freely to take or not. One can only choose their own beliefs. Force may result in compliance, but not in the changing of an inner belief. Thus force cannot give another happiness. As Ghandi said, one may even kill another to try to force an idea, but then all they will have is a dead body, not that persons will.
Given that force is useless against beliefs, the horrendous decision laid before you of judging between what is a belief and what is brainwashing, is an unneaded delima. The actions that will benifit those involve, will be the same, regardless of whether their beliefs could be or are brainwashing.
I beg of you to take into account that the requirement for each case involved to have an individual trial within the time period alloted, was not met. Thus by law, all the children involved should legally be returned immeadiately to their families, without having to wait for an appeal.
Thankyou for your continued effort to bring justice and freedom as well as safety and happiness to those involved in this case.
